Preventive Care
Annual wellness exams and preventive care services are essential to ensuring the very best quality of life for your pet at every stage of their life. Routine exams also provide an opportunity for you to discuss any health concerns you may have and address your questions regarding nutrition, weight management, supplements, and more.
Vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and routine deworming are important components of preventive care and wellness that protect your pet against life-threatening diseases, some of which may also pose a risk to the health of you and your family.
Comprehensive blood work is also recommended for all pets on a yearly basis and every 6 months for senior pets (age 7+). Routine blood screens allow us to see how your pet's internal organs are functioning over time. This helps us diagnose medical conditions in the early stages and provide treatment that may slow the progression of disease and support your pet's quality of life.
In addition to performing a physical exam, Dr. Bell will work closely with you to create a preventive care and wellness plan based on your pet's breed, age, lifestyle, and overall health while utilizing the insight and knowledge you provide as your pet's primary caregiver.
We are also able to provide interstate health certificates for travel via airlines.
