As your pet’s advocate, deciding to have them peacefully euthanized when the time comes is the most compassionate, loving choice you can make. We know how hard it is to say goodbye to your beloved family member. We are here to support you through this difficult decision. It is our mission to provide in-home euthanasia services that honor the bond between you and your pet. Our priority is to help your pet pass away peacefully in the privacy, comfort, and familiarity of their home.

When Dr. Bell arrives at your home at a scheduled date and time, the euthanasia procedure will be explained to you as we allow your pet to become relaxed in our presence. You are welcome to be as involved with this process as you are comfortable with, and questions are encouraged. We will go over our consent form and any additional paperwork and take payment at this time. 

 

We will begin by injecting a sedative under the skin. This will help soothe any discomfort your pet may be experiencing and will allow them to relax. We may place an IV catheter at this time depending on the circumstances - we will always customize this experience to meet the needs of your pet. Once your pet is sedate and you are ready to say goodbye, we will proceed with a final injection of euthanasia solution. Your pet will pass away momentarily, which will be confirmed when Dr. Bell listens to your pet’s heart. When the procedure is over, you may spend as much time with your pet as you wish.
